School of Computing lecturer Michael Collins was awarded Best Paper at the International Conference for Internet Technology and Secured Transactions, hosted by the Dublin Institute of Technology in June 2008. Michael's paper, entitled Identifying and isolating aberrant nodes in wireless sensor networks details his ongoing work in security for sensor networks.
Michael's colleague in the School of Computing, Damian Gordon was awarded Best Presentation for his exciting multimedia depiction of the previously unexplored relationship between the media portrayal of hacking and cracking, and the realtiy of such activities.
Deirdre Lawless, the Local Arrangements Chair was also awarded in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the successful conference.
