UCRG (Ubiquitous Computing Research Group) at Dublin Institute of Technology
Welcome
UbiComp consists of people from various faculties under the Dublin Institute of Technology who are working in the area of Ubiquitous or Pervasive computing. The group is currently engaged in a number of on-going projects across a range a disciplines.
Ubiquitous or Pervasive computing is an exciting and booming research field which encompasses a wide range of research topics, including distributed computing, mobile computing, sensor networks, human-computer interaction, and artificial intelligence.
Ubiquitous computing names the third wave in computing, the successor the personal computer era. In the UbiComp era, computers recede into the background of everyday life, and become indistinguishable from day to day objects. Harnessing and networking the ubiquity of this power presents many challenges and opportunities, which is the essence of UbiComp Group at the Dublin Institute of Technology.
