About me

I have both a BSc. and Msc. degree in Computer Applications from DCU. I have 20 years industrial experience working on Applicance Technology, Mobile Systems, Financial Banking Applications, Metrics and have written application for betting consortiums in Hong Kong.

My areas of interest in research are as follows.

  1. Server and Desktop Virtualization
  2. Ubiquitous Computing
  3. Secure transactions
  4. Decentralized authentication
  5. Software testing, metrics and processes

I have a public blog called nightsky.ie which along with having content about astronomy, demonstrates a web2.0 integration of Facebook, twitter, RSS feeds and blogging. Feel free to take a look and follow my posts.
