Module Description

The dissertation module requires the student to complete a research project of an appropriate standard for a taught Masters degree in order to qualify for the award of an MSc in Computing (Information Technology). This module is undertaken after completion of the appropriate pre-requisites modules.

Module Aim

The aim of this module is to enable students to apply the skills and knowledge gained during previous study to the research, analysis and development of a particular subject area in Information Technology. Further, the aim is for students to demonstrate proficiency in the design of a research project, application of appropriate research methods, collection and analysis of data, and presentation of research outcomes.
