The School of Computing at the Dublin Institute of Technology offer this part time degree programme in Information Systems and Information Technology leading to the following awards:

  • Higher Certificate in Information Systems and Information Technology (IS/IT)
  • BSc (Ordinary) in Information Systems and Information Technology (IS/IT)
  • BSc (Honours) in Information Systems and Information Technology (IS/IT)

Information Systems and Information Technology are significant growth areas in Ireland and globally. It is widely expected that the supply of qualified professionals in these areas will fall far short of demand in the immediate and long term future. This programme is specifically designed to meet the requirements of industry, with its graduates expected to become important players in the future of IS/IT in Ireland.

The programme is delivered part-time through lectures on selected evenings with supporting laboratory and tutorial sessions. It is aimed at individuals who are or wish to become professionals in the IS/IT industry. As the industry has many and varied career paths, graduates of this programme will be equipped with the skills necessary to function as an IS/IT professional in a broad range of environments.

The programme is offered in the Kevin St. campus of the Dublin Institute of Technology.
