About Tales of the League of Extraordinary
Gentlemen
- Alan Moore says "And after [Volume III:Century], me and
Kevin would probably like to get on with some individual stories, some Tales
of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen that could focus upon, say, one character.
Orlando is a very tempting character to do a one-off special based upon, especially
after you see the way that we've treated him/her in The Dossier. And there's
also another character that we introduce to The League in The Black Dossier;
the first black character in the League, and, of course, a controversial one.
But he is also such a fantastic character discovery that we're very tempted
to do a special based on his adventures." It will have
three separate stories in it, the first two will focus on a single character,
whereas the third will detail something that Mina did in the 1960s.
SPECULATION

Issue 1: ORLANDO

Alan Moore says "Orlando is a very tempting character
to do a one-off special based upon, especially after you see the way that we've
treated him/her in The Dossier."

Issue 2: THE BOLD, FEARLESS BLACK BALLOONIST

Alan Moore says "And there's also another character that
we introduce to The League in The Black Dossier; the first black character in
the League, and, of course, a controversial one. But he is also such a fantastic
character discovery that we're very tempted to do a special based on his adventures."

Issue 3: MINA

Alan Moore says "the third will detail something that
Mina did in the 1960s" I would love if this was Mina involved in rescuing
Number 6, The Prisoner (and this is possible considering the references in Black
Dossier to "Drake", a “Special village in Wales”, “...designing
kit for some Welsh set-up. D-dream inducers. Killer balloons.”, and “...our
projects at Port Merion...”). Alternatively she could turn out to be V from
Thomas Pynchon's novel of the same name.
