Constructive Support for Computing Students by placing College in Schools |

CS3 (CS-CUBED) is a project that will run in the Dublin Institute of Technology's School of Computing from May 2006 to May 2007. The project intends to examine the usefulness of service learning type projects for enhancing the learning experience of undergraduate Computer Science students. As part of the project, a group of year 2 Computer Science students will assist in providing Programming tutorials to second level transition year pupils. The tutorials will run for a period of 12 weeks, at the end of which the second level pupils will be able to demonstrate basic programming skills. It is intended that by providing instruction to pupils, our undergraduate students will be able to improve their own skills and knowledge of the subject area.
