Social Programme

Banquet

The symposium banquet will be held in the Erin Room in Dublin Castle.

Most of the current Dublin Castle building was constructed in the eighteenth century, though a castle has stood on the site since the twelfth century. Dublin Castle is the site where the president of Ireland was inaugurated for much of the twentieth century.

Check back for updates on the banquet closer to the conference date.

Céilí

A céilí is a traditional social dance in Ireland. The céilí will give attendees a chance to enjoy traditional Irish music and culture and to relax and meet other attendees in a social context. The céilí will feature an experienced bean an tí, (set caller), who will instruct participants in how to dance sets. There will also be experienced dancers on hand to provide demonstrations. Live music will be provided by top local musicians.

We extend a special thanks to
DIT Oifig na Gaeilge (Irish Language Office) for their sponsorship of this event.
