Paper Presentation Guidelines
Each paper presentation session lasts 1.5 hours. Three papers will be presented per session. 30 minutes will be allocated for each paper (20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for questions).
The chairperson(s) in each session shall be responsible for making sure the presentations run smoothly within the allocated time.
The following AV equipment will be provided for the paper presentations:
Laptop PC
Windows XP Professional
Microsoft Office 2003 (PowerPoint 2003)
USB Connection
Presentation pointing device
Projector
Please check the AV equipment at your presentation venue 10 minutes prior to your session or during breaks. Internet and wireless Internet access will NOT be provided.
You must send your presentation slides in PowerPoint (.ppt) format to Dr. Brian Mac Namee at Brian.MacNamee@comp.dit.ie as soon as possible (but not later than Wednesday 31st January 2007) for preloading and testing on our system to reduce transition time.
You are strongly advised to double-check your files and the AV equipment before your presentation.
Immediate downloading is NOT encouraged to minimize disruption to your fellow presenters and to ensure that the session runs to time.
