Please find below an e-card which advertises the Accenture Leaders of Tomorrow Award programme for 2008/09. We would encourage you to participate in this competition, which is taking submissions until October 20th 2008 from final year and post graduate students across all disciplines.

The Award now in its second year hopes to build on the success of last year’s programme which saw entries from third-level graduates from across Irish Universities and Institutes of Technology. The Accenture ‘Leaders of Tomorrow Award’ seeks to recognise, identify and foster the next generation of talent that will help in shaping the public, private and social landscape of Ireland in the coming years.

This year’s judging panel, chosen from the top ranks of the Irish business community, will include,

• Danuta Grey, CEO of O2 Ireland
• Barry O’Leary, CEO of IDA,
• Gina Quinn, CEO of Dublin Chamber
• Richie Boucher, CEO of Retail Financial Services at Bank of Ireland
• Marian Corcoran, Head of Accenture’s Management Consulting
• Mark Ryan, Managing Director, Accenture Ireland.

The 2009 winners will participate in the Accenture Global Leadership Tour, designed to provide a hands-on understanding and appreciation of the changing business, technology and leadership landscape which faces Irish leaders today. The trip will include visits to Bangalore, India, an emerging economy, Sophia Antipolis, France, an Accenture centre of innovation and New York City, a global business hub.

Last year’s winners were

• Laura McGreal, from Castlebar, Co. Mayo, and
• Annemarie McCormack, from Stillorgan, Co. Dublin
  both Masters students in Strategic Management and Planning at the Smurfit Business School UCD.
